We're grateful to have welcomed Patrick Babcock over from the US to join us last night, where he generously shared the story of how ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ came to be, and how far itโs come since.
Patrickโs journey is raw, honest and deeply human: following the tragic loss of his close friend Peter Kellerman, he channelled his own recovery and purpose into building a home and community for men navigating early sobriety.๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ today is so much more than a treatment environment. Itโs a bridge into living sober, a community of accountability and care, and a place where men are taught how to function, belong and thrive in the real world.
Over dinner, we dug into what it took to build that kind of culture from the ground up, the wins and the setbacks, and the sort of no-fluff, โthis is real lifeโ conversation that too rarely happens in our sector. His openness reminded us of how important it is that we create places not just of clinical excellence, but of genuine connection.Thank you Patrick, for your candour and inspiration, and for reminding us why this work matters, and for everyone who joined us!
