About
Becky
Becky has extensive experience of working with people suffering with eating disorders and has supported many people with anxiety, depression and self-harm. Becky also works as a Systemic Therapist offering family and couples therapy.

Before arriving at Portobello Behavioural Health, Becky worked at a specialist outpatient treatment centre for women in recovery for eating disorders and trauma. Her experience in the field has led her to bring a trauma focused approach to the work she does. During her time here she also witnessed the power of working with the families of the loved ones in recovery which led her to train in systemic and family work, which now informs all of her practice.

Becky strives to meet all her clients with unconditional positive regard, compassion and empathy. She works alongside her clients to nurture a space where they feel they can bring all of themselves, and meet even the most painful or shamed parts without judgment or criticism. She brings lots of creativity to her sessions through the use of art making, images, stories and various other mediums whilst understanding how powerful talking to someone can be.
